Packed house today on the show! Tobin, Cima and Tommie Gunz are joined by ESPN’s James Walker. Tobin watched fights from 5:00PM-1:00AM on Saturday. He watched David Haye vs Tony Bellew in London because he wanted to see Haye lose so badly. The crew discusses the much anticipated welterweight title fight between Keith Thurman and Danny Garcia. Thurman clearly won the fight, but did he win any fans. Will fans want to pay to watch his next fight. Boxing has put forth some of their best match ups this year, yet can’t seem to get anyone to superstar status. UFC 209 suffered a big blow this week when Khabib Nurmagomedov pulled out of his bout with Tony Ferguson with weight cutting issues. The early weigh-ins have been catching a lot of folks. Word is that Khabib did come into this week way overweight. Should pulling out for weight cutting result in a loss on your record? Will this cost Nurmagomedov any chance at a Conor McGregor fight. The rematch between Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson and Tyron Woodley lacked action. The two were more hesitant to engage than in the first bout. It seems like Tyron has the blue print to beat Wonderboy easily but is very patient before executing the plan. Almost too patient. What’s next in the welterweight title picture for Woodley. Cima thinks his reign comes to an end soon. Fight Picks for Vitor Belfort vs Kelvin Gastelum next week in Brazil. Plus recapping the awesome Saturday morning at the March for Cancer.
