Friedo is joined by Barry Jackson and Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald today. We kick off today’s show talking about the MLB All-Star Game, Homerun Derby, and the horrible traffic leaving Marlins Park during both events. With Jose Quintana being traded from the White Sox to the Cubs, we discuss teams trading to cross town rivals. And we ask the audience what 30 for 30 they would like made if given the choice.

In hour 2 we go over our favorite options for the next 30 for 30 documentary. The guys get into steroids in baseball and ask if Alex Rodriguez has rejuvenated his image enough to get into the Hall of Fame. We talk about Calvin Johnson’s early retirement and his comments that the Lions not wanting to release him was part of the reason for his retirement. And we get into Jeffrey Loria and the impending sale of the Marlins.

In the final hour today we get into some Dolphin’s talk and their Vegas season win total dropping all the way down to 7.5. Barry brings up the topic of gambles in sports including Phil Jackson being hired to the Knicks, the Herschel Walker trade, the Cavaliers hiring David Blatt as their head coach, and the Saints trading away their whole draft for Ricky Williams.
